Day 2 - Aberdeen to Snoqualmie

I woke up this morning in a Walmart carpark…… Sounds like the beginning of a great story from a big day and night beforehand!

But that’s what I did after sleeping the first night in my camper. The sleep was good other than being woken at 5.35am by the goods train horn being blasted multiple times. I grabbed some breakfast in Subway and loaded yesterdays blog onto the web.

The next few days will be spent visiting casinos to add to my $5 casino chip collection. I have 6 listed to visit today with a lot of back tracking due to their locations. First stop was the Quinualt Beach Resort & Casino which as the name suggests is on the coastline of the Pacific Ocean. The casino is very nice with a short walk to the beach. Unfortunately there is a fog this morning so there was no great beach photo opportunity.
Driving along the coastline there are a lot of these signs

Following that was a lot of driving on what was a lovely day to drive. Mid 70’s farenheight and bright and sunny after the fog lifted.
A lot of todays driving looked like this

Mt Rainier dominates the skyline from all angles. Snow covered in the middle of summer

Along the way I visited the Little Creek Casino, Red Wing Casino, Emerald Queen Casino, Muckleshoot Casino and finally the Snoqualmie Casino where I spent the night parked up in the RV car park area they provide for patrons.

All these casinos, except the Emerald Queen are relatively new buildings and quite good looking buildings using a lot of feature woodwork and Indian style carvings. The Emerald Queen is and older structure and very dark inside. There is a lot of new construction works going on around it so I would not be surprised if they are going to upgrade to a new building soon.

I was able to add to the chip collection and also the side collection of the Players Cards that Casinos give out for you to gain benefits from your gambling.

Added to my collection today
